THERMODYNAMICS COURSE FOR CORPORATE CLIENTS

Introduction

AEIO provides a professional development course on thermodynamic systems used by the power generation, HVAC and aviation industries. The applied approach focuses on how the devices work and how they can be made more cost- and energy-efficient. The logical stepwise approaches to analyzing thermodynamic cycles are illustrated with detailed examples.

The course developer and presenter, Thomas Simko, PhD, PEng, has received seven awards for teaching thermodynamics to university students.

This practical course is designed for engineers and technologists with no background in thermodynamics, or for those looking to refresh or update their understanding of the topic. All of the necessary basic concepts, tailored for the experience of the audience, are introduced at the start of the course.

Benefits

Savings on operating costs

Designers and operators will be better able to identify the energy and cost savings of various improvements to thermodynamic cycles.

Savings on capital costs

Personnel choosing new systems will be better informed about the many options to optimize power output and use.

Expanded market

Consultants will be able to offer new cost-saving expertise to clients.

Course Delivery

Dr. Simko delivers the course at your company in a one- or two-day format, depending on your preference. The longer version is more comprehensive with more topics and worked examples. There is no theoretical limit to class size, but ten to twenty students is ideal. The course materials can also be delivered by your company in-house on a licensed basis.

Deliverables

          Personal delivery

One or two days of instruction, slides created with Powerpoint(R)

          Slides in hardcopy

Bound printouts of the slides, covering concepts and examples

          Summaries
